Join us for Saugatuck Klondike Derby: Step back to the winter of 1776 and live the life of a Continental Army scout serving under General George Washington. Your patrol will brave the cold, complete vital missions, and support the fight for American independence during the harsh realities of the Revolutionary War.

TROOPS ARE NOT CONSIDERED REGISTERED WITHOUT MAKING PAYMENTS ON SCOUTS AND ADULTS.

No Refund Policy
All event registrations are non-refundable. If a registered Scout is unable to attend, troops may substitute another Scout from their unit in their place. Please coordinate any substitutions directly with the event registrar prior to check-in. No credit or refund will be issued for no-shows or cancellations. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep event costs low for everyone.

Event Details:

  • Friday-Saturday Camping: Troops may camp Friday and/or Saturday nights; or just come for the day on Saturday.
  • Check-In: Friday 5:00-8:00 PM (Ranger Cabin) | Saturday 7:00-9:00 AM (Ranger Cabin)
  • Klondike is a Saturday event with a closing ceremony at 4:30 PM Saturday
  • Exciting patrol competitions, survival challenges, and more await.
  • There will be no scheduled evening programs on Friday and Saturday. Troops are encouraged to organize their own activities during these times.
  • Campsites can be reserved through the registration — download campsite map under the "Resource" tab. Only PAID registration can reserve a campsite.

Troop Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Scouts for cold-weather activities and camping (1-2 nights).
  • If we move forward with a district activity under potential travel advisory conditions, Unit Leadership is responsible to determine safe driving conditions for their unit and if their Scouts are prepared to meet the challenges of the pending weather. If a Troop has any concerns, please stay home and be safe.
  • Carry Part A & B of the Annual Health and Medical Form and permission slips.
  • Troops camping should have an adult certified in First Aid/CPR.

Youth Led Program:

  • Senior Patrol Leaders and Patrol Leaders will lead the activities, with a Zoom Planning meeting on Sunday, Jan. 18, 4 PM.  Watch your email for details.
