Scouting’s flagship event is one-of-a-kind. It’s a gathering of tens of thousands of Scouts, leaders, and Jamboree Service Team members that showcases everything that is great about the Boy Scouts of America. Over the course of 14 summer days, typically occurring once every four years but in this case delayed to six years due to the pandemic, the Boy Scouts of America gathers together. Scouts and Scouters who attend will explore all kinds of adventures—stadium shows, pioneer village, Mount Jack hikes, adventure sports and more—in the heart of one of nature’s greatest playgrounds. With 10,000 acres at the Summit to explore, there’s no shortage of opportunities to build Scouting memories.

Join the fun as part of the Connecticut Yankee Council contingent to the National Jamboree.  The contingent departs CT July 16 and returns July 29.  The fee is projected at $2500 per person, youth and adult, and includes the pre-Jamboree camping weekend, transportation to and from West Virginia, a stop at Hershey Park, all admission fees, meals, lodging, insurance and most troop/patrol equipment.

Registrants must be current members of BSA and at least 12 years old by July 19.  Review the full list of eligibility requirements at:  https://jamboree.scouting.org/participants/participant-leader-qualifications/

Participants must register for the Jamboree on the BSA National site FIRST.  Be prepared with the items below before going to the National site:  https://jamboree.scouting.org/

  1. BSA membership must be current.
  2. Member ID number must be linked in the profile of the registrant’s My.Scouting account.
  3. Your current email is in your My.Scouting account.
  4. Check your email after registering to complete your required disclaimers.

Tip: When registering a youth participant, you’ll need to sign-in using the youth’s my.scouting account. Note: When registering as a participant, no fees will be collected at the time of registration – registration fees will be collected by your local council.

After completing Jamboree registration on the BSA National site, register for the Connecticut Yankee Council contingent.  Youth spots are available first come/first served and require a $400 deposit at the time of registration.  Additional payments are expected based on the payment schedule below.  Make sure to set up a MyCouncil account when registering (rather than registering as a guest) so you will be able to return to your registration page to make additional payments.

$400 non-refundable deposit per participant is due at time of registration followed by additional payments of $425 on November 1, 2022, February 1, 2023, March 1, 2023 and April 1, 2023 and $400 on May 1, 2023.

Adults may register to indicate their interest in a leadership position but must be selected and approved to attend the Jamboree with the Council contingent.  $400 deposit is due at time of registration and will be refunded if an appropriate leadership position is not available.
